Excuse me.....can I get some directions?

Have I mentioned that I work for the best company ever? If not I am going to tell you now that I work for the best company. They were sponsors at a local corn maze and so I was able to get some free tickets. I called up a couple friends and we loaded in the car and headed to Shelley to check out the maze. We might of had to cheat a few times to get through but we made it out in the end. Great night with some of the best ladies I know.

Hit me with your best.....color!

As part of my goal to be healthy I registered for the Color Run in Boise Idaho.  Idaho Central was a sponsor for this so I thought it would be a great time to go an hang out with some of my Boise Co-workers.  Tyleen and I loaded in our cars Friday after work and followed each-other to Middleton, Idaho where her parents live.  We settled in for the night and prepared to wake up early in the morning to drive back to downtown Boise to start the race.  It was a little chilly outside so I was excited to get moving.  We met up with all of the ICCU employees and headed to the start line.  There were hundreds of people all dressed in white ready to rock the Color Run known has the Happiest 5K on the Planet! They sent the runners out in waves as they headed down Parkcenter. We went out with the second wave and quickly realized that it wouldn't be a fast race.  At every kilometer they had volunteers that held bags filled with different colors of powder.  As you ran by they would hit you with the bag until you were fully covered in that particular color. A line formed quickly and moved through slowly as everyone wanted to get as much color on them as possible.  We gathered in a group and ended up walking most of the race with the other participants. Although it was a little slow it was a lot of fun.  Here are a few pics from the event:

Just getting started! (Me, Tyleen, Morgan)

All done!

I'm pretty sure I was still cleaning color out of my hair a few days later but it was all worth it.

Two Is Better Than One!

I know I have already crossed this item off of my list but, what is better than going to Lagoon?....... Going to Lagoon during Frightmares! Awhile ago my team at ICCU started going to Frightmares every year and unfortunately I haven't been able to go with them the last couple years. I love Lagoon but I do have to say that it is a lot more fun when you are dodging scary monsters or wandering through haunted houses. I have missed this and honestly didn't think I would make it in 2012; then my friend Kent called to see if we should plan a trip for a Saturday.....Heck Yes! He picked up some tickets and before I knew it we were on our way to Utah. We rode every ride we wanted to, wandered through the park, snapped a few pictures and waited in line for all of the good haunted houses. The houses were excellent this year and I will admit I was actually scared a couple of times. I had a blast and can't wait to go again. Here are a few pictures from the trip:

OUCH!

Looking good, cowboy!

To infinity and beyond!

I'm Hungry

Hmmm...

Cheese....yes, please!

Kiss Me Slowly.......

All American Rejects, Boys Like Girls, and Parachute in Blackfoot Idaho? Yup, you heard me right they were coming to Bingham County and I decided I couldn't miss it.  As soon as I heard I told everyone at work and before I knew it we had a large group going and I was excited.  On October 25th, Sheri, Trent and I headed to Blackfoot to meet up with everyone at Corey's house.

Keep your eyes on the road Trenton!
Sheri, Myself, and Trent

It was an adventure since we hit our first snow storm of the year on our way there. Good thing Trent is an amazing driver. We arrived around the same time as Wade and after a quick tour of the Dahle home we again piled into the vehicle and headed to the concert to meet up with Britni and her Mom and my friend Stephanie Holbrook (for her first concert ever!). I was pumped! I love Parachute and I have been a long time fan of All American Rejects. Parachute was the opening band and I started to work my way to the stage.  They were really the only ones I wanted to see that night and they did not disappoint.
After an amazing performance we quickly headed to the merchandise table hoping the band would make an appearance.  Celebrate good times, we were in the right place at the right time.... and I got to not only get Will's autograph but he posed for a quick picture.

Just hanging with the band! Star-struck!

Thumbs up for concerts!

My night was complete! After coming down from my high, I found the rest of the group and we enjoyed a little All American Rejects.

Ahhhhhhhh

I am sure he was on something but man they also put on a good show.  It brought back a lot of memories of college when I was obsessed with their music. Boys Like Girls were the final band, they have a few good songs but honestly they aren't my favorite.  We stuck around for a few songs and then headed out early since we knew the roads had the potential to be bad. It was another spectacular concert with some spectacular people.

Hang on tight and..........scream!

I love scary movies, ghost stories and haunted houses so when I received a text from my friend Rachel to go to the Haunted Mill I was excited.  We decided to meet up at Butter Burrs to grab a bite to eat then we all loaded in my car and headed to the Haunted Mill in Teton. (Jill Polson, Rachel Kingsford, Britni Warren, Lacey Myers, and Andrea Hedstrom)  This Mill was built in 1890 and after being shut down was turned into a haunted house in 1997. I love going to it every year and look forward to the anticipation of who or what will jump out in front of me.  Once we arrived we parked the car and headed to the line only to wait for over an hour before we made it into the mill.  We had enough people that we had to split into 2 groups.  I went through with Andrea and Britni and they didn't let go the whole time.  What a good time...I can't wait to go again.
